The Island of Ireland has, among its human capital, an unparalleled capacity for storytelling. Our creatives have the potential to explore new ways to engage with the public around the topics of climate change, environmental degradation and biodiversity loss. The overarching theme is ‘Our Waterway Network’.

Immersion looks to support creatives to engage with these topics in an informed way and support the development of their competencies in creating cutting-edge immersive experiences.

Immersion is a recipient of the Creative Climate Action fund, an initiative from the Creative Ireland Programme. It is funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media in collaboration with the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications. The fund supports creative, cultural and artistic projects that build awareness around climate change and empower citizens to make meaningful behavioural transformations.
